Armed robber's disguise resembles a gas mask in Florida

MARION OAKS, Fla., Feb. 9 (UPI) -- Authorities in Florida released surveillance footage of a suspect wearing a bizarre disguise while committing a robbery alongside a second masked man.

The Marion County Sheriff's Office said two men, one wearing a bizarre disguise and the other masking his face with a baseball cap and what appears to be a black scarf, stopped workers from the Family Dollar in Marion Oaks from leaving the parking lot after closing about 11:50 p.m. Wednesday.

The strangely-clad man, who was armed with a gun, appeared to be wearing glasses or goggles over his full-face disguise, which resembled a gas mask.

The men forced the clerks back into the store to commit their robbery, the sheriff's office said.

Detectives are hoping members of the public can identify the suspects from their unusual clothes.
