VALEMOUNT, British Columbia, Feb. 5 (UPI) -- A snowmobile rider in British Columbia captured video of his "close call" when he was buried by the snow from an avalanche.

The man, Trevor D., wrote online that he was on his way back to a cabin at Allen Creek in Valemount when he encountered the avalanche.

"On the way back to the cabin in Allen Creek and had this close call. Brand new avalanche bag failed to deploy properly, it still helped a little bit with floating me but I had no control at all in the avalanche and I ended up almost completely upside down because of it. It also made it harder for me to breath," Trevor wrote in the video's description on YouTube.

He credited his fellow snowmobile riders with saving his life by digging him out of the snow.
