Passenger on plane records rapid-fire lightning storm

LOS ANGELES, Feb. 3 (UPI) -- A passenger on a flight from Toronto to Los Angeles captured video of a cloud erupting in a spectacular rapid-fire lightning storm.

The video, posted to YouTube by user Gdpix, features footage recorded from the window of a plane traveling from Toronto to Los Angeles during the summer of 2015.

The footage shows a cloud embroiled in a rapid-fire lightning storm reminiscent of a strobe light at a rave party.

"Flying from Toronto to Los Angles in Summer 2015, we passed by a huge lightning storm just to the east of us. Lightning was flashing several times per second!" the uploader wrote.
