LOS ANGELES, Jan. 6 (UPI) -- Los Angeles residents captured videos of trash bins traveling up and down streets amid El Nino-fueled storm flooding and mud flows.

Multiple Los Angeles residents captured videos of the trash bins floating and rolling up and down their streets amid poorly timed stormy weather on garbage pickup day.

Residents reported seeing trash bins traveling several blocks from their homes, sometimes traveling in parade formations.

Los Angeles International Airport recorded 1.42 inches of rainfall Tuesday, a single-day record for the facility.

Flash-flood warnings are in effect in the Los Angeles area until Wednesday night.
