KRAILLING, Germany, Dec. 18 (UPI) -- German technology company has produced the world's first drone light painting video.

Known as "The Christmas Edit" the video by Ascending Technologies presents a modified AscTec Falcon UAS drone creating Christmas-themed light paintings in the sky.

"Due to the excellent flight characteristics of the AscTec Falcon 8 it was possible to fly such complex lines through predefined waypoints as precise and to fly those flight paths several times with such accuracy," a company press-release said.

The drone created several "paintings" including Santa Claus with a reindeer sleigh and a present with a loop each taking around 10 minutes as the operator guided it through several waypoints.
