NEW YORK, Nov. 24 (UPI) -- A New York woman suspicious of her disappearing undergarments used a hidden camera to catch her building super stealing and sniffing her panties.

Ashley Chase, 26, said she concealed an iPhone with a motion-sensing video camera app in her apartment after bras and panties started disappearing from her residence.

Chase said the camera recorded building super Jose Cedillo, 32, entering her apartment after she left Sept. 4 and leaving with a pair of Victoria's Secret underwear, which he sniffs in view of the camera.

"He saw me leave, he saw me with my bag, and he knew I was heading out," Chase told the New York Post.

Cedillo was arrested on charges of burglary as a sexually motivated felony and petit larceny.

Chase said she is also planning to file a lawsuit against Chase, building owners Vito and Michael Sacchetti and building manager TMS Management.

The New York housing code states "a landlord may enter a tenant's apartment in some situations. For example, generally, the landlord can enter your apartment: At a reasonable time after providing reasonable notice if the entry is either to provide necessary or agreed upon repairs or services, or in accordance with the lease, or to show the apartment to prospective tenants or purchasers; and in an emergency, at any time and without notice."
