"He either nailed it on his very first try ever, or he's been practicing his throws!" she wrote in the video's description.
The woman said the box was dented, but the contents were not damaged. She said she filed a complaint with the Postal Service, but did not want the postal carrier punished for the admittedly impressive throw.
"I thought it was a little humorous but it was a little like, 'let's respect each other,'" the homeowner told KOMO-TV.
The woman said the local postmaster visited her home to apologize in person.
"Apology accepted and all is well," she said.
A USPS spokesman said carriers are told never to throw packages.
"They are to dismount the vehicle and place packages safely on a porch or at a location specified by the customer," spokesman Ernie Swanson said. "The Postal Service takes the customer's complaint very seriously and a full, robust investigation is underway. We will make contact with the customer regarding this issue and have addressed it with our employee."
