RUSHVILLE, N.Y., Oct. 27 (UPI) -- A real-life Indiana Jones' feats of daring were revealed as not up to the standard of his fictional counterpart when he was arrested after a car chase.

The Yates County Sheriff's Office in New York state said Indiana Z. Jones, 21, attempted to evade a traffic stop Sunday night in the aptly-named town of Rushville, leading to a car chase that exceeded 100 mph.

Jones' 2002 Audi A6 was stopped after the six-minute chase when deputies deployed stop sticks in Benton and punctured the vehicle's tires.

Jones was arrested on charges including unlawfully fleeing a police officer, reckless operation, speeding and having an unregistered, uninsured and uninspected vehicle. He was taken to Yates County Jail and freed later Sunday night after posting $1,000 bail.
