EDSON, Alberta, Aug. 14 (UPI) -- A motorist traveling in Alberta captured footage of a Canada goose keeping pace with his truck while he led the animal to a nearby lake.

Andre Bachman's video, posted to YouTube, shows the goose curiously following the man while his truck was stopped.

"What are you doing? Are you lost?" Bachman asks the goose.

Bachman's son said in a Reddit post the goose had already been following his father's truck for some time before he decided to stop and take video of the bird.

Bachman said in the video's description he decided to lead the goose to nearby Shiningbank Lake.

"Come on, let's go for a flight," he says in the video, as he climbs back into his truck and starts to drive.

Bachman continues to film as the goose flies next to the truck.

At one point, the motorist gets out of his vehicle to check on the goose after nearly hitting it.

The goose seems contented once Bachman shows him to the lake and remains in the water when the motorist drives away.

Bachman's son said the goose kept pace for the whole drive.

"My dad would just about stop for the corners after the first one to let it turn. Also, at one point he wanted to see how fast it could go. At around 80 km/h [50 mph], the goose started flying above his truck on the air coming off his windshield," he wrote on Reddit.
