HOUSTON, Aug. 5 (UPI) -- A Southwest Airlines flight crew had some fun while taking off from Houston by playing music from the movie Top Gun and quoting the film over the intercom.

A video uploaded to YouTube by a passenger on the Saturday flight out of Houston features a flight attendant having a Top Gun-themed conversation with the pilot via the plane's intercom while the 1986 film's theme song, Kenny Loggins' "Danger Zone," played for the passengers.

"You gotta get up there, Mav, they're moving in for a shot!" the flight attendant says, referencing Tom Cruise's character from the film, a pilot with the handle Maverick.

"Ok, ready Maverick? Do a barrel roll!" the attendant says, before comforting passengers who may have been fooled. "No, I'm just kidding. We're not going to do that to you guys."
