The event, which was streamed live on YouTube by the Oceanic Preservation Society, is part of an educational drive aiming to promote conservation of endangered animals.

The featured animals included manta rays, blue whales, birds, tigers and bears in addition to photos of Cecil the lion, a beloved big cat killed in Zimbabwe July 1 by a dentist from the United States.

"Projecting Change" was produced by the Oceanic Preservation Society and Obscura Digital, in collaboration with Discovery Channel, Vulcan Productions, Photo Ark, the Li Ka-Shing Foundation and Empire State Building Trust.
