CHANNELVIEW, Texas, July 31 (UPI) -- Authorities in Texas are investigating a video of a daredevil rolling under a moving train to get to the other side of the tracks in Channelview.

The video, shot by motorist Cesar Renteria and posted to Facebook Tuesday, shows a man roll partially under the moving train several times at a Channelview crossing before finally rolling all the way across to the other side.

"When I see him cross to the other side, the people on the other side were surprised too, they say look at this guy, he's crazy you know," Renteria told KHOU-TV.

A Union Pacific spokesman said police are investigating the video.

"The most glaring thing about this is the safety issue, but it's also a legal issue," spokesman Jeff DeGraff told the Houston Chronicle. "What that gentleman was doing is illegal.... Interference with railroad traffic is a crime as well as trespassing on railroad property."

"For Union Pacific, safety is our top priority, for employees as well as the people in the community," DeGraff said. "We spend a lot of time and energy on trying to educate the public on how to be safe at crossings and on foot near railroad tracks."
