CAPE CORAL, Fla., July 31 (UPI) -- A Florida fisherman angling from his paddleboard reeled in a 400-pound goliath grouper that pulled him into the water during the struggle.

Capt. Ben Chancey, host of the YouTube fishing show Chew on This, was filming his attempt to fish from a paddle board last week off Florida's east coast when he hooked a 400-pound goliath grouper.

Chancey's struggle with the 7-foot-long fish, which he shared on YouTube, resulted in the fisherman being pulled into the water at one point, but he was able to climb back onto his board and use a rope to retrieve his rod and resume the struggle.

The fisherman and his support team were able to pull the grouper onto his paddle board to pose for pictures before the fish was released back into the water.

"We like to have fun, challenge ourselves with giant fish," Chancey told Fox News.
