BOULDER, Colo., July 27 (UPI) -- A Colorado sheriff's office shared pictures and video of a "conversation" between deputies and "their feathery match" -- a baby owl.

The Boulder County Sheriff's Office said deputies driving near a campground Thursday came across a baby owl in the road and stopped to make sure the young avian made it out of harm's way.

A video posted to the county's official YouTube account shows a "conversation" a female deputy had with the baby owl, which responded to her calls with a series of clicks.

"After some curious head twisting (on both sides) it safely flew away," the video's description reads.

Pictures of the encounter were shared to the sheriff's office's Facebook page.
