STEINKJER, Norway, July 24 (UPI) -- A Norwegian prankster road tripping to Sweden with a friend awoke his sleeping companion by holding a running chainsaw to his throat.

Tom Daniel Hansen Sylte, who shared the video on Facebook, was taking a road trip to Sweden with friend Marius Hostland Strom when Strom fell asleep in the passenger seat.

Sylte planted a camera on the dashboard and set about waking his friend up with an unusual alarm clock -- a running chainsaw.

The prankster held the running tool to Strom's throat and the sleeping passenger quickly awoke in a panic and fled out the other side of the car. Sylte then revealed the chainsaw had been rendered harmless by removing the chain.

"A prank! I took the chain off!" Sylte says through laughter.
