TOPSAIL BEACH, N.C., June 30 (UPI) -- A North Carolina beach visitor captured video of a man grabbing a stranded shark by the fins to guide it back to its ocean home.

The video, filmed by Amy Neal Lovaas at Topsail Beach, features a man grabbing a shark by its fins to help guide it back to the ocean after it became stranded in the sand.

The shark, which is watched by a crowd of bystanders, initially seems to have some trouble navigating the waves and gets thrown around by the water before managing to swim away.

The video emerged just days after an 8-year-old boy suffered minor injuries from a suspected shark attack at Topsail Beach. The man who rescued the boy said the attacker appeared to be a tiger shark.
