Xavier Hubert Brierre, who posted several wildlife mirror videos to his YouTube channel, said he and his wife planted the mirror in several locations and placed motion-detecting cameras to capture reactions including an angry gorilla who charged the mirror in an apparent attempt to ward off the potential competitor on the other side. Advertisement A baboon filmed by Briere seems startled by its reflection, while a curious jaguar licks the glass and an elephant seems only momentarily interested in its reflection. A group of monkeys caught by Briere's cameras seem amused by watching themselves play in the mirror. "I had to wash the mirrors on which leopards and monkeys left greasy streaks, traces of blood and feces left by insects hitting their surface ignoring their reflective property," Briere told Caters. "Myself and my wife spent many long days at the site, often being attacked by different types of fly and bees."
