The video, created and shared on YouTube by webcam services company EarthCam, was created from high definition images starting with the onset of One World Trade Center's construction in October 2004 to Memorial Day 2015. Advertisement The video celebrates Friday's opening of One World Observatory 1,250 feet up on the 1,776-foot-tall skyscraper. Visitors to the observatory, which offers a 360-degree view, are treated to a time-lapse video on their elevator ride showing the evolution of the New York skyline from the 1500s to the present day.
