LONDON, May 29 (UPI) -- Videos shared on YouTube captured the moment a crowd of up to 100 witnesses lifted a double-decker bus in London to rescue a pinned unicyclist.

The route 212 bus in Walthamstow collided with the unicyclist about 6 p.m. Thursday and a pair of videos posted to YouTube show how dozens of witnesses lifted the bus and moved it several feet to free the man, whose leg was reportedly pinned under a wheel.

"I'm really amazed at the strength of Walthamstow -- no one hesitated to push the bus off, I was in shock," witness Kyra Sam told the London Evening Standard. "Everyone really came together to help -- it was really nice to see that in the face of something so awful."

Witnesses said up to 100 people participated in the bus-lifting rescue.

Police said the unicyclist was taken to an east London hospital in serious condition.
