DOVER, England, May 26 (UPI) -- The British national trust projected the Roman god Neptune onto the White Cliffs of Dover to celebrate 50 years of a preservation campaign.

The National Trust shared a video on YouTube showing the projection of Neptune rising from the water and waving his trident to reveal the words, "775 miles saved thanks to you."

The projection celebrated 50 years of the Neptune Coastline Campaign, which uses donations from the public to preserve the coast in England, Wales and Northern Ireland, including the famous White Cliffs of Dover.

"Over 50 years the extraordinary generosity of people from across the world has enabled us to buy some of the most beautiful, dramatic and diverse coastline on these islands," said Helen Ghosh, director-general of the National Trust. "This campaign has tapped into that deep sense of connection with, and love of, the coast. Without this, our coastline could look very different today."
