MARKDORF, Germany, May 22 (UPI) -- A German technology group unveiled its latest creation: The Floppy Organ, a musical instrument made from old floppy disk drives.

Toolbox Bodensee e.V., an electronics-minded nonprofit youth group based in Markdorf, said the Floppy Orgel -- Floppy Organ in English -- was constructed from 49 floppy disk drives connected to an Arduino Uno controller board running a code to translate MIDI signals from a keyboard into motor pulses for the drives.

The club shared a YouTube video of the Floppy Organ playing songs including Yiruma's "River Flows in You," Celine Dion's "My Heart Will Go On," the theme to classic video game Tetris and the main theme from the Pirates of the Caribbean films.
