SACRAMENTO, May 6 (UPI) -- Olympic gold medal-winning decathlete Bryan Clay tweeted a video showing how he used a javelin to remove his daughter's loose tooth.

Clay, the 2008 Olympic gold medal winner for the decathlon, posted the video to his Twitter account Tuesday with the caption, "What you use javelins for once you're retired."

The video shows Clay's 5-year-old daughter, Ellie, with a string tied around her tooth and the other end of the string tied to a javelin, which Clay then throws through the air.

The javelin tooth extraction was successful and Ellie appears unfazed at the end of the video, asking for a drink of water.

Clay later tweeted the javelin stunt was Ellie's idea.
