Russian viral video's 'innovation' makes 'tow trucks obsolete'

The video, shot on an unidentified Russian street, features a smoking man sitting in the trunk of an E39 BMW 5 Series and holding a tire between the BMW and a pushing car.

MOSCOW, April 1 (UPI) -- A viral video from Russia purports to render "tow trucks obsolete" with an "innovation" that's actually just a man sitting in a trunk and holding a tire.

The video, which appears to have been shot on an unidentified Russian road, features a smoking man sitting in the trunk of an E39 BMW 5 Series and holding a tire in place behind the car so it could be pushed by a second car without damaging the vehicles.

The video, which was shot from a third vehicle, doesn't completely fly in the face of safety -- at least the BMW has its hazard lights flashing.
