ENGLEWOOD, Fla., March 11 (UPI) -- A Florida golf club said viral photos of a giant alligator crossing the green on one of its holes was not a Photoshopped fake.

The alligator was photographed late last week crossing the No. 7 green at Myakka Pines Golf Club in Englewood and the pictures sparked speculation of computer trickery when they were posted to the club's Facebook page and subsequently went viral.

The golf club said the pictures, taken by golfers Dick Huber and Bill Susie, are 100 percent authentic.

"Lots of people think the pic is photo shopped....Nope! We just grown 'em big in these parts!!" the club said in a Facebook post.
