The park put a video of its newest ride on its Facebook page Wednesday. Advertisement It's not easy to watch, but it provides a first-person perspective of what it's like to ride the behemoth from what appears to be the very front seat. The Fury 325 is one of the tallest, longest and fastest roller coasters on the planet. At 325 feet tall, it's 20 feet taller than the Statue of Liberty -- that's more than 30 stories high. The track is 6,602 feet long and the cars reach speeds of up to 95 mph. The first drop is a stomach-dropping 81 degrees. A news release from Carowinds says the roller coaster is meant to mimic the "wild, daring and spontaneous flight of the hornet." The ride opens March 27 to season pass holders and one day later to all park attendees.
