Twin brothers Dino and Dario Ferrari said they spent 40 minutes battling the fish Feb. 19 and they believe the giant catfish, which fell short of the 298-pound record caught in 2010, was the largest ever caught while spin fishing, a technique using artificial bait. Advertisement "To fish these river giants, you must have patience and a lot of physical strength," he told Corriere. The twins said they released the still-living fish back into the River Po after taking photos and video.
