PROVIDENCE, R.I., Jan. 28 (UPI) -- A Rhode Island principal used his weather-imposed time off to become a viral star by announcing a snow day with a parody of "Let It Go" from Disney's Frozen.

Matt Glendinning, principal of private Quaker school The Moses Brown School in Providence, released a YouTube video Monday morning that replaced the chorus of "Let It Go" with "School Is Closed."

"We could make you come to school / But that would just be mean," Glendinning sings. "The plows are running but still traffic starts to slide / So don't come to school, just stay inside."

Glendinning told the BBC he and other school officials had the idea for the video several days ago and shot it in advance. He said the video finished shooting Friday, just in time to be edited and released for the first snow day of the year Tuesday.

"School is closed, school is closed / Because the snow's too deep / School is closed, school is closed / You can stay in bed and sleep," the principal sings in the video.
