Flying Christmas tree takes to the California sky

The festive flight of the faux fir was masterminded by Otto Dieffenback of Flyguy Promotions.

SAN DIEGO, Dec. 24 (UPI) -- A San Diego man sent Christmas spirits soaring when he affixed an artificial Christmas tree to remote-controlled aerial devices for a festive flight.

Otto Dieffenbach posted a video to YouTube depicting the flight of the faux fir set to the tune of holiday standard "Oh Christmas Tree."

Dieffenbach's company, Flyguy Promotions, specializes in "flying aerial images for brand enhancement" and has created previous videos featuring flying pop culture icons such as Superman, Harry Potter and Doctor Who's Tardis.
