ST. PETERSBURG, Fla., Dec. 17 (UPI) -- Police in Florida have released security camera footage of a limber burglar who squeezed between metal bars to get into a store.

The video, released by St. Petersburg police, depicts a suspect identified as Jesse Garcia, 37, breaking glass on a door at the Central Avenue Food Market Dec. 12 and squeezing between the door's metal bars to get into the shop.

Garcia can be seen striking an ATM inside the store with various objects in an apparent attempt to make an unauthorized withdrawal, police said.

Police said Garcia temporarily left the store, but soon returned for further unsuccessful attempts to get into the cash machine.

Zelemkhan Islamov, one of the store's owners, said there was about $500 in damage done to the shop, but nothing was taken. He said Garcia had attempted to shoplift a T-shirt the day before the break-in.

"He puts it in his jacket and I'm like, 'what you doing man? You gotta go' and I took him out, you know, never to be seen again," Islamov told WTVT-TV.

Police said they are hoping members of the public will help track down Garcia, who investigators said might be homeless.
