The students were sent emails regarding their early decision application the school with the subject line "Embrace the YES!" but were soon notified it had been in error.
One student posted the email on Twitter.
Sam Stephenson received three messages from the university. The first was a rejection letter, the second was an acceptance letter and the third was a correction of the acceptance.

Stephenson is not out of options. He plans to apply for regular admission to Dartmouth, Duke, Vanderbilt and the University of Virginia.
