Subscribe | UPI Odd Newsletter Subscribe NOLA, Italy, Dec. 12 (UPI) -- Authorities in Italy said 77 tons of stolen Lindt & Sprungli chocolates were found in two locations, but 209 tons of chocolate remain missing. Police said 286 tons of red-foil wrapped Lindor chocolates manufactured by the Swiss company were stolen in August from a warehouse near Milan and 55 tons of the stolen treats -- 5,000 boxes -- were recovered from a warehouse in Nola, a town near Naples. Advertisement Authorities said two people, the owner of a Milan logistics company and an employee, were arrested in October and charged with stealing the chocolates with the intention of reselling them. Police discovered 22 tons of Lindor chocolates in a warehouse in Sezze, between Rome and Naples, in a raid following the arrest. Investigators said 209 tons of the stolen chocolates are still missing. The total worth of the pilfered treats was estimated at about $10 million.
