LOS ANGELES, Nov. 21 (UPI) -- An Australian reporter was beaned in the head by a runaway skateboard while delivering an on-camera report at a Los Angeles skate park.

Mike Amor, U.S. Bureau chief for 7News, was talking to the camera at Venice Beach in Los Angeles when a skater performing a stunt behind him accidentally sent his board flying through the air.

The skateboard struck Amor in the head mid-sentence.

"Shook me up for a couple minutes but went on to finish doing the piece to camera," said Amor, who was not seriously injured in the collision.

Amor had been delivering a report on a company developing Back to the Future-style hoverboards at the time of the incident.
