LOS ANGELES, Nov. 20 (UPI) -- An online company specializing in custom-printed condoms said lingerie designer Britta Uschkamp won its Tattoo Condom Design Contest with a "feminist" pattern.

Graphic Armor announced the Paris-based designer, known for designing lingerie based around scarves and ribbons, won more than 10,000 votes on the company's website to best 163 competitors with her floral-based design.

The contest asked designers to create the first "condom tattoos," prophylactics with custom "tattoos" printed on the latex. Uschkamp said her design, dubbed "Fleurs-2-Bite," is a "visual of male flirting behaviors, such as giving flowers and compliments, as a pretext for sex."

"Look closely and behind every flower, you can see the symbol of male power in the design," she said.

She said the pattern came from a lingerie design she shelved years ago because it was too costly.

"The condom contest was simply great timing," she said, "as it is a clin d'oeil [wink] to the feminist concept of the print, and offers me an opportunity to finally market this beautiful, cheeky design." The FDA-approved condoms bearing Uschkamp's winning design are available on Graphic Armor's website.
