The Viktor Wynd Museum of Curiosities, Fine Art & Natural History, which opened its doors Wednesday in the Hackney neighborhood, contains such varied items as Picasso prints, taxidermy animals, ancient Chinese sex toys, 19th century babies preserved in formaldehyde and McDonald's Happy Meal toys. Wynd, who told the Guardian he wants to get "the whole world" into his museum, said the collection also includes the urine of actor Russell Crowe, which he says was a "gift," and excrement he attributes to pop star Kylie Minogue and late singer Amy Winehouse. "I charge five pounds ($7.90) for a sniff," Wynd said of Winehouse's purported waste. "The museum will present an incoherent vision of the world, displayed through wonder, enclosed within a tiny space," he told The Daily Beast. "No attempt is made at classification and comprehensiveness; instead the museum focuses on the pre enlightenment origins of the museum as wunderkabinett, a mirror to a world so suffused with miracles and beauty that any attempt at categorization is bound to fail."
