COLOGNE, Germany, Oct. 22 (UPI) -- A mechanical Vladimir Putin doll that signs the treaty to annex Crimea to the tune of a "traditional Russian waltz" is headed for auction in Germany.

Auction Team Breker said the one-of-a-kind automaton, created by puppet maker Christian Bailly, is due to be auctioned Nov. 14-15 in Cologne, Germany.

The 20-inch doll of the Russian president sits at a desk and signs a miniature version of the Treaty of Acceptance of the Republic of Crimea into the Russian Federation, the document that annexed Crimea in March.

"Putin's right hand moves across the paper with a realistic motion followed by his concentrated gaze until, apparently tired by his efforts, the lamp light dims and his head falls, as though on the verge of sleep," the auctioneer's description reads. "Waking, he turns up the lamp and continues writing. The figure's movements are accompanied by a traditional Russian waltz."

No asking price has yet been announced for the doll, but a previous Bailly creation, "The Bird Trainer" sold for $6.25 million.
