SHANGHAI, Oct. 20 (UPI) -- A Chinese telecom branch enticed customers to try out the larger iPhone 6 Plus by having an in-store tailor available to enlarge the pants pockets of purchasers.

The Unicom branch in Shanghai set up a tailor's booth inside the store with a man using a sewing machine to alter the pockets of customers who are concerned the larger iPhone 6 Plus might not fit in their normal-sized pockets.

A photo of the in-store tailor quickly went viral on Chinese social media site Weibo.

A KPN outlet in Amsterdam used a similar marketing approach when the iPhone 6 Plus came to the Netherlands by setting up a tailoring service outside the store.
