EASTBOURNE, England, Sept. 17 (UPI) -- A British KFC customer said a piece of chicken shaped like Britain without Scotland may be an omen predicting the outcome of the Scottish independence vote.

Terry O'Neil, 55, of England's Isle of Wight, said he ordered a filet feast at KFC while vacationing with his family in Eastbourne, England, and he was surprised to discover one of his chicken pieces was shaped like Britain, but with one important difference.

"I picked this one piece out and I thought it looked like the map of Britain, but then I realized Scotland was missing," he said.

O'Neil said the chicken could turn out to be prophetic if Scotland votes to leave the United Kingdom in the upcoming referendum.

"I don't know whether it's an omen for the outcome of the Scottish referendum, but I wouldn't be surprised if Scotland vote 'Yes,'" he said.
