SAN FRANCISCO, Sept. 6 (UPI) -- A couple of deer decided to do a little site-seeing Friday and took a stroll on the Golden Gate Bridge during rush hour.

The animals snarled traffic around 5:30 p.m. in the northbound lane of the bridge, heading toward Marin, Calif.

California Highway Patrol initially received reports that one of the deer had been struck by a vehicle, but the animals were able to clear themselves off the bridge before officers arrived.

One Instagram user got some pretty good footage of the deer making their merry way along the bridge.
