Subscribe | UPI Odd Newsletter Subscribe CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla., Aug. 28 (UPI) -- A Punta Gorda, Florida mother was arrested Tuesday for driving under the influence -- with her two children, 10 and 12, in the back seat. Fort Myers television station NBC-2 reports, by the time investigators pulled Jennifer Mannino over, she had already jumped the median in her pickup truck and was almost hit by oncoming traffic when turning. Advertisement CCSO deputies also said Mannino failed a field sobriety test. Her blood alcohol content was .025, three times the legal limit. Making things worse for Mannino, her children were in the vehicle at the time. The arrest record shows the 10-year-old was so worried she called her father. Deputies also said there was an open container of vodka in the truck. According to arrest records, this isn't the first time Mannino has been in jail for DUI, she was arrested in April of last year. In addition to the DUI charge, she is also facing a charge of child neglect without great bodily harm. Her kids were turned over to custody of their guardian.
