LOS ANGELES, Aug. 25 (UPI) -- A car that drove off the road in Los Angeles was left teetering atop a highway barrier while witnesses and the driver waited for authorities to arrive.

Witness Ron Brewington told ABC Los Angeles the car was traveling northbound on Le Brea Avenue in Los Angeles' Baldwin Hills neighborhood around 6:15 p.m. Sunday when it suddenly drove off the road, grinding like a skateboard on railing to the exact apex of a nearby highway barrier.

Police have not released any further information on the incident, but images of the bizarre crash have surfaced on Twitter.
