ORANGE, Va., Aug. 21 (UPI) -- A Virginia man whose last name is Stoner faces numerous drug charges after police seized over $10,000 in cannabis plants from his home.

Acting on a tip about an area man selling drugs to children, on August 14 the Blue Ridge Narcotics and Gang Task Force teamed up with the Orange County Sheriff's Office to execute a search warrant on the home of 42-year-old Paul Scott Stoner of Orange County, Va.

In addition to roughly $10,500 worth of marijuana plants, authorities seized loose marijuana, drug paraphernalia, prescription medication, needles, spoons and multiple firearms.

Stoner is currently charged with manufacturing marijuana and possession of a firearm while in possession of more than a pound of the drug.

Because Stoner is suspected of selling drugs to minors, the Virginia Department of Social Services is also involved in the investigation.
