MECOSTA COUNTY, Mich., Aug. 11 (UPI) -- A Michigan man who was seen passed out on the floor during a news segment about the "Project P" rave party is speaking out after he became a hot topic on the Internet.
In the original segment, the 20-year-old party organizer pointed at 27-year-old Ray Hulin and said, "I didn't make this kid pass out on this floor." A shot of Hulin was featured on national television networks and shown on Jimmy Kimmel Live.
Hulin, an aspiring rapper who goes by Ratchet, spoke with FOX17 about what really happened at the party.
"I feel like I lasted longer than anybody," Hulin said. "Yeah, I might have passed out earlier in the night, but I woke up and kept drinking."
He told the station that he lost both of his cell phones at the party and was forced to walk more than five hours to get home. Once he got there, he realized that the Internet was talking about him in his passed-out pose.
"I know how to handle a party, dude," Hulin told Vocativ. "And I feel like I handled this one party well."
If there is another Project P party, Hulin wants to perform with his group, the PartieBoiz.
"They made it look like I don't know how to handle my [expletive]," Hulin said. "I've been way more [expletive] up before and was able to keep my composure."
