LAKELAND, Fla., Aug. 5 (UPI) -- A Florida photographer was shooting pictures at the Circle B Bar Reserve in Lakeland when he saw two alligators going at it.

Neil Furlong kept snapping photos as a bulging bull alligator tore a smaller gator to shreds.

"I knew at that point I had taken a picture of something that is very rarely seen in the wild, and at that point I was just ecstatic," Furlong told the Sun Sentinel.

He posted the photos on Facebook and they quickly started spreading via social media. The 52-year-old isn't looking for any compensation for the pictures, and hopes that donations will be given to Circle B instead.

It is estimated that the alligator was between 12 and 14 feet long.

"It's made me a rich man and I haven't gotten one dollar," Furlong said.
