MEXICO CITY , Aug. 1 (UPI) -- You won't find this at Subway or Quiznos...
More than 80 people banded together in Mexico City to help build a record-breaking torta sandwich.
The tremendous torta ended up measuring almost 200 feet long and contained a combination of meat lettuce, onion and tomato stacked on thousands of pieces of bread. The spectacular sandwich was topped of with "hundreds of liters of mayonnaise, mustard and other sauces," according to Fox News Latino.
Although the record did break a Latin American record for sandwich size, it did not break the world record.
The top spot is still occupied by a huge hoagie that was made in the U.S. in 2005.
Wild Woody's Chill and Grill in Michigan made a 5,440-pound corned beef and cheese sandwich to secure the record.
