While Corbin police were booking Michael Harp for shoplifting and alcohol intoxication in public, he allegedly asked to use his cellphone.
A short while later, a Domino's deliveryperson showed up with five pies. According to police, they were able to link the call back to Harp's cellphone.
Harp reportedly told the pizzeria that his name was "Captain Wilson," one of the officers who helped arrest him.
He denies ordering the pizzas.
"I'm wrongfully accused on this here. They've charged me with two felonies over this pizza deal because I had my phone inside the holding cell," Harp told WKYT. "There was about 10 people who probably used the phone, so it's hard to say. Like I said, I never heard anyone say a word about Domino's pizzas. Any of it."
Thanks to the pizza prank, Harp is facing additional charges of theft of identity, theft by deception and impersonating a police officer. He plans on fighting the matter in court.
