ULSTER, N.Y., July 16 (UPI) -- An upstate New York man has been arrested and charged with felony unlawful surveillance after he allegedly piloted a drone outside of the windows of examination rooms at a medical facility in Ulster and taped the whole thing.

After taking footage from outside of the Mid Hudson Medical Group building, "Front Row" Dave Beesmer posted the video on his Facebook page.

The 49-year-old's drone was visible to the building's occupants, and patients and medical staff "observed the contraption," the Smoking Gun reported.

Beesmer wrote that he began shooting the footage after taking his mom to a doctor's appointment at the facility. He also did go inside the building to inform people that he had been taking video.

In the footage that he captured, it appears that the interiors of the rooms in the building are not visible because the glass in the windows is tinted.

"I understand that people inside were alarmed....however as you can see from the footage I posted that there is no way that my camera can see through tinted windows," he wrote on Facebook. "Who knows where this will end, but one thing is for sure....i made a mistake because of my lack of knowledge...I will not stop droning....this is the wave of the future...and I WILL be a part of it..."
