Cedar Point amusement park promised LeBron James on Twitter it would rename one of its roller coasters "King James" if he signs with the Cavaliers. The move makes sense because the Ohio native visited the park frequently while he was growing up in Akron.
The NBA star played his first seven seasons for the Cavaliers before he left for Miami and won two championships with the Heat.
"We are serious about this," Cedar Point spokesman Bryan Edwards confirmed to the Medina Gazette, adding that the idea came from park CEO Matt Ouimet. "Matt is very passionate about this area of the country and a big supporter of Ohio. He thinks this is a great place to live and visit. Matt also wanted to lend our support to the Cavs, who have been a great partner of ours."
Cedar Point isn't the only one trying to entice James. Cleveland chef and Food Network star Michael Symon is also getting in on the action.
James is an unrestricted free agent and a decision on his NBA future is expected to come soon.
