MURFREESBORO, Tenn., July 9 (UPI) -- Instead of waiting until the 19th hole to have a few drinks, a Tennessee man allegedly brought the 19th hole to the golf course -- the disc-golf course that is.

Jason Rickard was arrested Thursday after he allegedly drove through the disc-golf course at Barfield Crescent Park while intoxicated.

According to the Murfreesboro Police Department, the 37-year-old suspect almost took out two women with his car before stopping his vehicle and approaching "the females in an aggressive manner" after they yelled at him.

When Officer Brent K. Collins arrived on the scene, a witness told him "he was afraid for the women's safety and struck Mr. Rickard once above his left eye, knocking him down," the Daily News Journal reported.

Rickard was arrested and charged with reckless endangerment, disorderly conduct and public intoxication.

His court date has been set for August 6.
