SANTA FE, N.M., July 9 (UPI) -- A New Mexico woman is facing robbery charges after she allegedly admitted to robbing a Santa Fe hotel in May for beer money.

Amanda Ahumada was being held in the Torrance County jail for violating her parole with a driving while intoxicated bust when she reportedly fessed up to robbing a Holiday Inn Express in May.

Surveillance video shot at the hotel appears to show the suspect leaping out of a car and threatening an employee before making off with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Ahumada allegedly told the employee, "I'm not afraid to blast you," police told KRQE News 13.

While she was being questioned in Torrance County, Ahumada allegedly revealed that "she robbed the hotel because she needed money to buy beer."

After she is done serving time in Torrance County, Ahumada will be brought to the Santa Fe County jail to face armed robbery charges.

Two other men shown in the surveillance video with Ahumada have yet to be identified, Santa Fe New Mexican reported.
