FYFFE, Ala., July 7 (UPI) -- Forget the get-away car. How about a get-away horse?
According to police in Dekalb County, Ala., Christine Saunders, a 45-year-old Fyffe woman, was drunk when she stole someone's horse on Saturday. She then used it to ride to the store she wanted to rob.
Police believe she rode the horse to a store in Hammonds Crossroads. After responding to a call about stolen merchandise, they saw the horse tied up outside with a bag of Keystone Light cans hanging from the saddle.
Saunders faces charges of public intoxication and illegal possession of a prohibited beverage, though the horse's owner declined to press charges.
